... it is great...

I have started doing the e-learning on malnutrition. It is great.

... the course is very useful...

by JR, 01/06/2015

The course is very useful [I teach public health at a university in low and medium income countries through elearning] however, as it more of training many people to work and working with grass root communities; my suggestion is that, the elearning will attract those few with open access system individuals.

... your work is much appreciated...

by YS, 31/05/2015

I am very delighted to be a part of this network. As we belong to developing countries and having been interested to work in nutrition, we often lack such kind of advance training. Thank you for putting this efforts for the benefits of all who are tirelessly working in nutrition. Your work is much appreciated. I would share within my network as well.

by LM, 19/03/2013

I took these courses and l would like to ensure everybody that they are worth taking. The modules are user friendly and have rich content. The information can be used at family, home, community and programming level. You can also take as much time as you need to complete them. I encourage you to have a go. It is so interesting.(whispering)Besides they also provide you with the actual vocabulary that will make you look intelligent when presenting a case about SAM in a high delegate meeting.

by RD, Nepal, 07/03/2013

I found the course is very useful to all health professionals and students to broaden their knowledge in identifying and managing the infant and children with malnutrition...We think that students and other health professionals in developing countries like Nepal will take high advantage of the course, if it is incorporated in undergraduate curriculum or is provided by training locally. At the end, once again thank you very much for this online course.

...world class online education in such a very understandable language and mode of delivery...

by TC, Tanzania, 03/02/2013

I give distinction to a professional arrangement, careful and thoughtful choice of course content, simplified in language but very detailed in content, condensed to safely deliver world class online education in such a very understandable language and mode of delivery. The management of malnutrition in infants is a great course. I will be completing it tomorrow. I have been off clinical practice for a few years. When I made a decision to go back I took on some online courses and I am not being biased but I would recommend the management of malnutrition in infants course to everyone who cares to learn how malnutrition is managed!

by LM, Haiti, 03/02/2013

This course in indeed very useful and l do not hesitate to introduce it to friends, staff and collegues. Currently l will introduce it to staff here in Haiti and will then share it with a grassroot organization which is trying to work with youths in a slum city of Mutare in Zimbabwe. They introduce out of school youths to the productive use of the internet through facilitating them to take online courses. Currently 50 youths are engaged in community development online course with Global Health University and this course would be a good addition to the course.I have not yet completed but l hope to do so by today so that l can also share this with others. Thank you very much.

The presentation was quite simple but exploratory... it was like being in the field and students would find it resourceful.

by Anonymous, 08/01/2013

Enrolling and completing this course is an added value to me as a community nutritionist and a lecturer. The presentation was quite simple but exploratory... it was like being in the field and students would find it resourceful. by NA, 05/12/2012

I have just completed the course and extremely glad I did because the resource is excellent, the presentations are user friendly and very informative. I have asked my students to register and take the course.

It was very insightful and educative.

by FL, 05/12/2012

It was very insightful and educative. I work with children and provide them with nutritional support (Nutritional education and supplements) when there is malnutrition that can be manage in the community. The course have given me insight on how to assess children and identify who is malnourished and also how to classify the levels of malnutrition and those that should immediately be referred to the health facility and those that can be managed in the community. The knowledge i have gained will contribute immensely to the current work i do. Thanks for providing me with the opportunity to add to the knowledge i had on treating malnutrition in children.

Enjoyed it and truly did learn a lot...

by KN, 05/12/2012

I have completed the course. I enjoyed it and truly did learn a lot from it. I was impressed at the design and learning potential with it. Thank you for offering it.

The design of the resource material is excellent...

by Anonymous, 01/12/2012

The design of the resource material is excellent; simple but motivating for interactive experience, particularly the short notes on only one page not needing to scroll down or to continue on second page. Further, the diagrams are so illustrative and excellent to direct attention to specific details. WOW!

Really enjoyed...very informative and relevant

by TM, 01/12/2012

Malnutrition eLearning course

by FM, 22/10/2012

I very much enjoyed this course and feel empowered in continuing to learn how to manage SAM particularly. I recently joined an NGO primarily working in this field in West and Central Africa and as an RH specialist I very much needed this course.
I have spoken of the course to my colleagues but unfortunately they all only speak French. This is a real issue for health workers in West and Central Africa - finding good training resources in French is very difficult.Translation of the course material into French would therefore be very helpful.
Thank you and kind regards to the team.

Malnutrition eLearning course

by Anonymous, 08/10/2012

Thanks so much for this course.Iam a Nutritionist working in Bududa hospital.Truly, this course has opened my eyes to so many things which seemed so obvious. I have completed this course C003:Caring For Infants and Children with acute malnutrition. I wanted to know how you assess this online course and whether there is a provision for a certificate. Other wise thumbs up for UOS for this course.

... superb...

by BW, Uganda, 20/09/2011

The course was superb, very explanatory and helpful.

Very well designed course!

by Student 1, 01/02/2009

I've taken course 2 and I've enjoyed every minute! The course is a great way to learn about how to weigh and measure children properly. I had not realised how much skill is needed and how easy it is to get inaccurate measurements and how these can affect determining a child's nutrition status.

Didn't know nutrition could be fun

by Student 2, 15/01/2009

I've taken course 2 and I liked that reflection is embedded. Reflection is a useful skill, some professions are taught to do this as naturally as you would breathe! I'm not suggesting other professions don't reflect, but it is an important skill that benefits all public health practice. It is also a great help to be able to print out our reflections and include them in our portfolios.

Great course!

by Student 3, 15/01/2009

This is the most practical 'academic' course I've ever attended. The structure and content form a great basis for taking us through the relevant learning. I've already applied a number of things to my work. I've learned not only new information which has filled knowledge gaps, but also been able to reinforce existing knowledge and identify areas I want to avoid! It has greatly increased my confidence as a practitioner who is working with overweight people.
