Our staff
The NIHR Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Facility is jointly managed by University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS) and the University of Southampton. For legal and administrative purposes, it is part of UHS, and sits within the Clinical Governance Directorate.
The NIHR WTCRF comprises a management team supported by research nurses, clinical research fellows, research support and administrative staff, a quality assurance manager and a small laboratory team. Our research nurses operate in teams that focus on either adult or paediatric research and are each led by a research Sister. In addition, we employ a number of specialist nurses in areas such as hepatology and cystic fibrosis.
