How to register
Any investigator wishing to bring a study into the NIHR WTCRF is asked to read the guidance before submitting a registration form, plus all relevant paperwork, to one of the regular meetings of the New Project Team. The scientific quality of the proposed research study, its appropriateness for being conducted within the CRF, the resources required and source of funding are considered before recommendation to the Director. In exceptional circumstances, a project application will be referred to the Scientific Advisory Board.
The Principal Investigator (PI) will receive a formal letter, stating whether the registration has been accepted, deferred or rejected. Following acceptance, the Research Nurse allocated to the study will contact the PI to start the project initiation process.
Guidelines for all users that outline the working practices of the NIHR WTCRF are also available.
Information and resources for undertaking research within the Trust can be found on the SUHT Research and Development website.
