LATEST NEWS: NIHR funding secured
The NIHR Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Facility (WTCRF) is based in the Southampton Centre for Biomedical Research at Southampton General Hospital. We provide modern, dedicated facilities for researchers and their volunteers, together with a team of experienced research nurses and support staff. Our focus is on clinical and translational research that will deliver maximum patient benefit across a wide range of diseases and conditions.
We work in partnership with the University of Southampton, University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust, the Wellcome Trust and the NIHR Biomedical Research Units. Our facilities are used by investigators from all health-related Schools and areas of the NHS Trust, as well as by external clinical groups.
