Who are we
The SCRI brings together key elements of support that are required by investigators:
- Research Design and Methodology: clinical epidemiology, statistics, qualitative research, health economics, literature search and review
- Study planning: logistical and resource planning, "how are patients recruited and what do I need to do it?"
- Governance and monitoring: research governance, ethics
- Funding applications and costs
- Trial coordination and management: trial/data management, trial managers
- Research facilities and staff: research nursing support, beds and facilities
- Training: education and development of staff and users

Management structure
SCRI Management meetings are held every two months or as necessary and are attended by representatives from each of the core groups. Minutes and meeting administration are managed by Bethan Bennett-Lloyd (023 8079 5234, bblloyd@soton.ac.uk)
