13 November 2012: Translational Clinical Research Conference
You are warmly invited to attend this conference to celebrate Southampton's translational clinical research excellence and its positive impact on the NHS and our wider society.
The keynote address is the Annual Wade Lecture given by Professor Sir John Tooke, President Academy of Medical Sciences and UCL Vice Provost (Health). The lecture will start at 5.15pm, followed by wine and cheese.
Oral and poster presentations: abstracts of 250 words (aims, background, method, results and conclusions) are invited that describe notable current or recnet examples of clinical research conducted in Southampton (2011/12). Submissions from all disciplines are welcome. Particular attention will be paid to work of a translational nature that crosses disciplinary boundaries or highlights innovative collaborations, and which demonstrates clear patient benefit and/or impact on society.
Abstracts should be submitted electronically to scri@soton.ac.uk by Friday 20 July 2012. Late submissions will not be accepted. Please ensure that abstracts are correctly laid out and affiliations are correctly indicated. Successful applicants will be notified by late September.
A registration form and programme will be available from this site shortly.
