notes regarding Southampton General Hospital telephone numbers:
- to dial any 4 figure contact number from the University of Southampton using a tie line, prefix it with 71
- 4 figure hospital numbers beginning with 2, 4, 5 or 6 can be directly dialled from outside. To use these numbers, prefix them with 8120 (eg. 4567 becomes 02381 204567)
- Any other 4 figure hospital number is not a direct dial number. To use these numbers you need to call the Hospital switchboard on 02380 777222 and ask for the extension
The Biomedical Imaging Unit is located on Level B of the South (Laboratory & Pathology) Block at Southampton General Hospital.. If you are having trouble finding us call extension 4815 (023 8079 4815). We recommend that visitors try to use public transport as parking at the hospital site is both expensive and oversubscribed, often resulting in very long queues. the Hospital is well served by frequent bus links from the main University Campus and from Southampton Airport Parkway and Southampton Central Railway Stations.
